VERIZON LIES
Signed up 12/29/07. Some screw-ups on Verizon's behalf, service not installed until early Feb., T&Cs agreed 2/14/08.
3/13/08, spoke to rep., said free promo acceptance letter was sent, but to wrong address (funny how they had wrong address, but I still get ads from them every day to this address in my name), assured me that I would receive within a few days.
4/1/08, spoke to rep. who told me she had the correct address on file, had no idea why I hadn't received letter, and would have someone investigate and call me back in 24-48 hours.
4/3/08, never heard from anyone at Verizon, spoke to account supervisor about myriad of customer service problems, including no call-back and no letter. Supervisor rudely informed me that, even though I signed up for service 12/29/07, I would not receive letter until 10-12 weeks from T&Cs acceptance. We'll see on May 1, Verizon!
